Our PURPOSE ... is to provide community supports and services for children and their families through the prevention of delinquency, community education, and information & referral, while advocating on their behalf.
Our VISION ... is to be the community cornerstone for protective, educational and preventive services for at risk youth and families.
Our MISSION ... is to provide residential, educational and in-home services that promote the well-being and healthy development of youth and their families.

Jefferson County Youth Shelter, Inc. dba Pathways Youth Shelter & Family Services is a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Pathways partners with local agencies, courts, providers and community leaders to ensure quality services are consistently provided. All programs operate from research based practices proven to be effective with the specific clientele served.
Incorporated in 1984, within the State of Indiana as a nonprofit agency, the shelter opened its doors in 1987 because of the efforts of a community dedicated to supporting its youth. Since that time, Pathways has grown to provide an array of services for children and their families, within southeastern Indiana.
All services are provided without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry, or status as a veteran.
